2018 Tata Tigor facelift launched at Rs 5.20 lakh

Tata Motors has launched the Tigor facelift, with prices starting at Rs 5.20 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Variant wise ex-Delhi prices below –

Exterior changes include diamond pattern front grille, twin pod projector headlamps with chrome finish, chrome-lined door handles, new tail lamps with chrome applique, and shark fin antenna. The 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels look pretty much the same as the ones on the first Tigor.

Interiors of the updated Tigor gets Black and Grey theme, titanium coloured faux leather upholstery, premium knitted roof liner and rear armrest with cup holders, which come as a standard feature. Other features include auto AC, 7-inch ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system by Harman, 4 speakers, voice recognition through Android Auto, steering mounted controls, cooled glove box and auto fold outside mirrors.

As for the safety, the Tigor gets dual front airbags, seat belt pretensioners & load limiters, and driver seat belt reminder as standard across all variants. Other safety kit includes ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control, speed sensing auto door locks, day & night IRVM, front fog lamps and rear defogger.

Powertrains
The updated Tigor carries over the existing set of engines, however, Tata Motors said that the engines have been further refined and optimized to deliver better performance and lower NVH. Improvements have also been done in transmission assembly to reduce vibrations.

The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine develops 85 hp @ 6000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque @ 3500 rpm. On the diesel side, there is a 1.05-litre 3-cylinder Revotorq engine, producing 70 hp @ 4000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque @ 1800-3000 rpm.

Transmission is a 5-speed manual while the petrol gets an option of 5-speed AMT. As before, the Tigor gets Eco and City diving modes.
