2026 Tata SIERRA teased ahead of launch

The third-gen Tata Sierra is almost here, and for those who have been eagerly waiting to add one to their garage, Tata Motors has released a teaser ahead of the official launch on November 25, 2025. For the uninitiated, the return of the Sierra nameplate was announced at the 2020 Auto Expo with the Sierra EV concept. Three years later, i.e., in 2023, we saw a near-production concept, and now, the final iteration is almost here.

Unlike the original Sierra, this is a 5-door SUV, but the side profile has been mimicked to look like that of the original 3-door model. In other words, the B-pillar and the section of the roof that covers the windows have been blacked-out to mimic the large fixed glass of the original model.

At the moment, there are no reliable reports of the powertrain options, but you can expect ICE and EV options. The original Sierra packed a 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel engine (first-gen N/A; second-gen turbo) paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, sending power to the rear wheels (RWD) or all four wheels (4WD) depending on the configuration. Yup! The original, old-school cars were proper capable machines as opposed to show-off FWD toys the manufacturers launch these days. But anyways, let’s wait and see.
