Triumph has launched the Scrambler 1200 XC in India, priced at Rs 10,73,000, ex-showroom. The motorcycle comes under the company’s Modern Classics range, and is intended for off-road adventures.

Key features include all LED lighting, Öhlins twin spring rear suspension that offers adjustability (for preload, compression and rebound) and 200 mm travel, Showa 45 mm cartridge front forks that also offers adjustability and 200 mm travel, aluminum swingarm, keyless ignition, cruise control, and USB charging socket. Buyers can add Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and heated grips.

More features include TFT instrument cluster that also offers GoPro control system via Bluetooth connectivity module (optional), five riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport, Off-Road, and Rider-Configurable), torque-assist clutch, ABS, and switchable traction control. The handlebar position is adjustable as well.

As the name suggests, a 1200 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine powers the Scrambler 1200 XC, producing 90 hp at 7400 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 3950 rpm; the engine revs up to 7500 rpm. The gearbox is a 6-speed.

Front wheel measures 21-inch with 90/90 tire, while the 17-inch rear wheel is shod with 150/70 tire. Braking duties are handled by dual 320 mm Brembo discs at front with 4-piston calipers, and a single 255 mm Brembo disc at the rear with 2-piston caliper.
