MG ZS electric SUV India launch postponed to early 2020

MG-eZS-Auto-Guangzhou-2018

Earlier this year, MG India had announced that the eZS electric SUV will be launched in the country in December 2019 and that the EV will be made at the company’s facility in Gujarat.

The new announcement is that the company has partnered with Delta Electronics India to install AC chargers in private parking locations such as homes and offices. Except for China, the eZS has been officially named ZS EV, and MG plans to launch in India in early 2020. The EV is already on sale in the UK, Thailand, and China. In UK, the ZS EV has apparently grossed 1,000 orders within two weeks of its launch.

The company also shared a neat video on the topic of different types of charging and how much time each would take to charge the EV.

Our partnership with Delta, a leading power and energy management company is another aspect of our commitment to help us pioneer and further develop the ecosystem for EVs in India, months ahead of the scheduled launch. The partnership expands our infrastructure push for EVs in both slow and fast charging segments. – Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG India

UK prices for the ZS EV starts at £24,995 or Rs 21.80 lakh.
