November 2019 sales: Mahindra down 9%

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) sold a total of 41,235 vehicles (Domestic + Exports) in November 2019, registering a decline of 9 percent compared with 45,101 vehicles sold during the same period last year. With 38,614 units sold, the domestic sales declined by 7 percent compared with 41,564 units in November 2018.

Exports for November 2019 stood at 2,621 vehicles, a decline of 26 percent compared with the numbers of November 2018. In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 17,384 vehicles in November 2019, as against 19,673 vehicles in November 2018.

The month post festive season is historically a lean month for the automotive industry. Consumer demand, especially for passenger vehicles, typically picks up in the year-end that is in December.
