First 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray fetches $3 million for Charity

Auction house Barrett-Jackson has raised $7.6 million for charity from 9 vehicles during the 49th Annual Scottsdale Auction that happened between January 11-19, 2020. Of the nine vehicles, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray VIN 001 was sold for $3 million.

The first retail production 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (3LT) was loaded with every available option. The winning bid hammered in at $3 million will benefit the Detroit Children’s Fund.

Lexus-LC-500-Convertible-Inspiration-Series-VIN-100001-barrett-jackson

Another car that raised money for charity was the Lexus LC 500 Convertible Inspiration Series VIN 100001. The $2 million it fetched will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Bob Woodruff Foundation.

Other charity vehicles included the 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Winston Cup NASCAR Race Car ($250,000), 2020 Chevrolet COPO Camaro John Force Edition ($600,000), 1963 Volvo Amazon Custom Coupe ($150,000), 1974 Ford Bronco Custom SUV ($650,000), and 1965 Superformance MKII Custom Roadster ($200,000) with an additional donation of $50,000.
