January 2020 sales: MG India retails 3,130 units

MG-Hector

MG Motor India announced retail sales of 3,130 units in January 2020. All of that appears to be from the Hector. The company launched the ZS EV on 23rd January.

The robust sales momentum of our first offering, the Hector, has been very encouraging. We are on track for the BS-VI transition in line with our brand belief in offering the latest technology to our customers. This transition will continue to happen over February and March 2020 – Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG India

MG also expects a disruption in the supply chain from European and Chinese suppliers due to the Coronavirus outbreak, which might impact the sales in February.

As for the Auto Expo 2020 plans, MG will unveil a new SUV called ‘Gloster‘, in addition to displaying 14 vehicles at the event.
