BMW Group India’s Rudratej Singh passes away

Rudratej Singh (46), President and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Group India, has passed away today (20 April 2020). The cause of his sudden demise is yet to be disclosed. According to reports, he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Mr. Singh was appointed as the President and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Group India effective 1 August 2019. He was responsible for the Mini and Motorrad divisions too. Prior to joining BMW, he was the President of Royal Enfield.

Singh held an MBA degree in Marketing and Finance from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. During his tenure, BMW’s market share in the country saw a significant growth.

Arlindo Teixeira, Chief Financial Officer, BMW Group India has been appointed as the Acting President in the interim.
