January 2021 sales: Mahindra registers 4% growth in PV

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) sold a total of 39,149 vehicles (domestic + exports) in January 2021, registering a decline of 25.5% compared to 52,546 vehicles sold in January 2020. However, with 20,634 units, the domestic PV sales saw a growth of just over 4% last month.

Naturally, the Utility Vehicles take the majority share in the PV segment as the company doesn’t offer any other body style except for the KUV100.

We have witnessed a growth of 5% in Utility Vehicles for the month of January. We have also seen strong bookings fueled by continued demand. Semiconductor shortage continues to be a serious challenge for the auto industry.
