Opel-Astra-Design-&-Tech-variant

Opel has added a new entry-level trim named ‘Design & Tech’ for Astra in Germany, priced at €23,780 for the hatchback and €24,880 for the estate bodystyle. The Design & Tech sits above the base model ‘Edition’ and gets additional features.

Speaking of which, the exterior of the car gets LED headlights, 16-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels in Technical Grey, and the obligatory Design & Tech badging. The Sports Tourer (estate) model also comes with silver-colored roof rails. Adaptive IntelliLux LED matrix headlights are an option.

Features in the cabin include seats upholstered in a combination of black fabric and leather; dual-zone climate control, 7-inch central touchscreen, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, and 6 speakers. Safety and assistance systems include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assistant, and Park Pilot.

As for the juicy bits, the Astra Design & Tech is available in petrol and diesel options: a 110 metric hp 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol, a 130 metric hp 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol, a 145 metric hp 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol, a 145 metric hp 1.4L 3-cylinder turbo petrol, a 105 metric hp 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo diesel, and a 122 metric hp 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo diesel. Depending on the engine, the gearbox will be a 9-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual or a CVT.
