2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe PHEV teased ahead of NY Auto Show debut

Stellantis celebrated the EV Day 2021 and as part of the Jeep brand presentation, it included a teaser of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid ahead of the vehicle’s global debut at the 2021 New York International Auto Show in August. The ‘4xe‘ is Jeep’s branding for electrified models.

The Grand Cherokee 4xe will be based on the 5th gen Grand Cherokee which debuted as Grand Cherokee L earlier this year. Stellantis didn’t share any specific details on this 4xe just yet, obviously, but Jeep brand CEO Christian Meunier said that Jeep is installing solar charging stations wherever necessary to support the future 4xe community, and by 2025, the brand will have fully-electric vehicle in every SUV segment.

The video also teases some kind of autonomous off-roading in the future.
