Hyundai America is offering a new trim for Santa Fe called the Santa Fe XRT, which adds some more rugged looks to an already rugged-looking crossover. The XRT is available in both FWD and AWD configurations, with prices starting at $32,300 and $34,000, respectively.

The XRT is based on the SEL trim with the Convenience package. For those who are wondering, the Convenience package is a $1,700 optional package that adds the hands-free smart liftgate, dual-zone climate control with predictive logic, digital key, 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, Ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert, and a few more. But anyway, the XRT elements will include a matte-black grille, dark silver front and rear lower bumper inserts, exclusive black door side moldings, exclusive side steps, exclusive 18-inch dark alloy wheels, black mirror caps, and of course, black roof rails with cross bars.

No other changes. The 2022 Santa Fe in America is available with either a 142 kW (191 bhp) 2.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with an 8-speed automatic or a 210 kW (281 bhp) 2.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine paired with an 8-speed DCT. A PHEV variant will be available at a later date. Read more about Santa Fe’s global powertrain options here.
