Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has updated the Rosa Bus with telematics function and regulatory compliance safety features. The bus is available to order in Japan, with prices starting at JPY 7,858,000 (including 10% consumption tax).

The new Rosa complies with various new requirements of the industry, including J-OBD II standards and noise regulations, the company said. Also, the bus has been equipped with daytime running lights for better visibility. Automatic headlights are available as an option. Two new body colors are available: ocean blue and honey yellow.

Further safety features include a co-driver seatbelt reminder, a seat belt for all seats, and a fuel tank compliant with the latest standards for fuel leak prevention.

The new Rosa comes with the BusConnect telematics function, which notifies the vehicle’s operational status in real-time to bus operators. The feature allows bus operators to track and manage vehicle location, routing, and drivers’ safety scores, while enabling remote diagnosis in real-time. Through geofencing, BusConnect aids fleet managers in detecting vehicle issues, while also contributing to operational efficiency and the prevention of dangerous driving, the company said.

The Rosa Bus is powered by a 4P10 129 kW (175 metric hp) 3.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine paired with a 6-speed Duonic (dual-clutch transmission with an electric motor) transmission.
