Lincoln Zephyr production version debuts in China

Lincoln-Zephyr production version

Does it give you Audi vibes?

Lincoln has unveiled the production version of the Zephyr Reflection concept at the 2021 Auto Guangzhou. The Zephyr is gonna be Lincoln’s first locally produced sedan in China and will be exclusive for the Chinese market. It is expected to go on sale in the first quarter of 2022.

The production model incorporates all the styling elements from the concept, including that light strip on the grille, blacked-out A-pillars, that accent line on the front doors, and a continuous light band at the rear. There are two wheel designs with one similar to those on the concept and another different one which I think matches better and looks a lot more stylish. From many angles, the Zephyr kinda gives me Audi vibes and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone.

As for the dimensions, the mid-size luxury sedan measures 4,982 mm long, 1,865 mm wide, 1,485 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,930 mm.

Inside too, most of the styling elements have been retained from the concept, including the shape of the steering wheel middle section and the dashboard layout. The PRND switches which were shown as capacitive buttons in the concept, now appear to be physical toggle-like buttons. That 27-inches of coast-to-coast display incorporates a 12.3-inch digital cluster. Other highlights include a 128-color ambient lighting, and Lincoln Co-Pilot 360 2.0 and Lincoln ActiveGlide (appears to be adaptive cruise control) ADAS systems.

The Zephyr is not an EV as previously thought. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine—hooked up with an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels.
