2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E gets more usable battery

Ford has updated the Mustang Mach-E for 2022 with highlights including a more usable battery; standard heated seats and steering wheel for the Mach-E California Route 1; Ice White Edition Appearance Package on the Mach-E Premium, and standard black painted roof on Mach-E GT and GT Performance Edition. Iced Blue Silver Metallic color is a new addition to the 2022 color palette, while Grabber Blue Metallic and Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat are now available on all models. MSRP starts at US$ 43,895.

The standard range battery pack now has 70 kWh usable energy, up from 68 kWh, while the extended range now boasts 91 kWh of usable energy, up from the original 88 kWh specification. The 2022 Mach-E California Route 1 with an extended range battery pack claims an EPA-estimated range of up to 314 miles or just over 505 km. The base model is available only with a standard range battery pack and claims 247 mi (397 km) for RWD and 224 mi (360 km) for AWD. The Premium RWD with an extended range battery pack claims to offer up to 303 mi (488 km), while the GT (AWD only) claims to offer up to 270 mi (434 km) with an extended range battery pack.
