The second-gen Ford GT production is gonna end this year, but before that, Ford has churned out yet another Heritage Edition, and this time it is inspired by Alan Mann Racing’s 1966 Ford GT race car. It is unclear if Ford actually got inspired by popular YouTuber Shmee150’s 2017 Ford GT. But either way, the 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition will be on display at the 2022 Chicago Auto Show alongside the aforementioned 1966 Ford AM GT-1 prototype.

The car is finished in a unique Alan Mann red exterior paint, complemented with a dual over-the-roof racing stripe, and Frozen White accent stripes and No. 16 roundels—on the doors, hood and underside of the rear wing. It also features exposed gloss carbon fibre components including front splitter, side rocker panels, mirrors, engine louvers, rear diffuser, and also the 20-inch wheels. The Brembo calipers are lacquered in black with a red Brembo logo.

Inside, the carbon fibre seats are wrapped in Ebony Alcantara, complemented with gold and red accent stitching. The Alcantara can also be found on the dashboard, steering wheel, pillars and headliner. The paddle shifters are in Alan Mann red. Also, notice the No. 16 roundel on the door cards.

The 2022 Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition is available for approved Ford GT customers. No mechanical changes.
