You probably remember reading about Geely’s new EV brand ‘Zeekr’ and its first offering Zeekr 001. Well, the crossover has received a new limited-edition variant with a battery pack that is claimed to offer more than a 1,000 km range.

Visually, there are not gonna be any changes. However, there’s this new color option called Yu Guang Orange that paints the main body of the car orange, with the roof, pillars and mirror caps in black. On the inside too, you’ll find orange highlights in the form of accents and contrast stitching. The Z-Sports package adds 22-inch forged wheels; Brembo 6-piston calipers gripping perforated discs; generous application of Alcantara, and 18-way electrically-adjustable front Adaptive Racing Seats. Zeekr claims that the seat cushion, backrest and side bolsters adaptively adjust as per the driving environment—especially at corners. Besides the aforementioned orange, you also have Extreme Blue and Polar Night Black new color options.

Key highlights on the inside include a floating 15.4-inch central touchscreen (with a 4-degree tilt towards the driver); an 8.8-inch driver display; a 14.7-inch head-up display; a 5.7-inch touchscreen for the rear occupants; three-zone climate control; a 11-speaker Yamaha premium audio system; dynamic ambient lighting that works with music and driving mode, and an AI assistant named EVA. Automatic air suspension system and variable steering ratio are some of the other key highlights of the Zeekr 001.

The Zeekr 001 remains to be a dual-motor all-wheel-drive crossover with combined figures of 400 kW (544 metric hp) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). Claimed 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time is 3.8 seconds. The battery pack options also remain the same: 86 kWh and 100 kWh. However, Zeekr claims to have done some improvements to the electric drive system, which has resulted in an overall range increase of 38 km (24 mi).
