Alfa Romeo’s top models in its current lineup, the Giulia and Stelvio, have received the Quadrifoglio Super Sport limited edition—limited to 275 units for the Giulia and 175 for the Stelvio. The special editions celebrate the 1928 Mille Miglia winner, the 6C 1500 Super Sport.

The exterior of these special edition models is decorated with carbon fibre parts—which include the V-shaped applique on the grille, the front bumper spoiler on the Giulia, mirror caps, a bootlid spoiler on the Giulia, and the optional roof on the Giulia. Both models ride on burnished 5-hole sports alloy wheels: 19-inch for the Giulia and 21-inch for the Stelvio.

The wheels hide black calipers as standard, but are available in the following liveries: three-layer Rosso Etna, metallic Nero Vulcano, and Bianco Alfa (Giulia only). Last but not least, there is a new Quadrifoglio logo with a black background.

Both these models are powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine—which was designed by the same dude who designed the Ferrari F154 engine. Interestingly, Gianluca Pivetti now works for the Renault Group. But anyway, no changes in the output figures; it still offers the same 382.5 kW (520 metric hp) and 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft). The engine is coupled with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. And, don’t forget that there’s also a mechanical limited-slip differential at the back. The carbon-tipped Akrapovič exhaust system should make your crappy day feel so much better.

Inside, as you can probably see, both models feature 3D-effect red carbon fibre appliques—on the dashboard, centre console and door panels. Red contrast stitching and a 12.3-inch digital cluster are some of the other key highlights.
