Renault continues to be a premium partner of the Roland Garros French Open tennis tournament. On the Renault stand, you can check out the Renault 5 E-Tech, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, and the Renault 4 Savane 4×4 Concept. As the name suggests, the Savane Concept aims to be an off-road version of the Renault 4 E-Tech that is already on sale in France with prices starting from €27,990.

The Renault 4 Savane 4×4 Concept is finished in a new color called Jade Green, contrasted by gloss black bumpers and wheel arches. Those bumper stops you see are 3D-printed. The openable fabric roof features pixel-like printed graphics. Compared with the regular Renault 4 E-Tech, this concept rides 15 mm higher, and on “Savane” wheels wrapped with special Goodyear UltraGrip Performance+ 225/55 tyres. The front and rear tracks are 10 mm wider.

The interior features seats upholstered in Deep Brown refined textile (TEP) fabric. Notice the quilted pattern of number 4 on the backrest. The dashboard is also clad in Deep Brown refined textile. The passenger side of the dashboard features a backlit 4Savane logo.

The Renault 4 E-Tech is a front-wheel-drive crossover with a 110 kW (150 metric hp) front electric motor. As for the Savane 4×4 Concept, since it is supposed to get you the freedom of taking on any type of terrain, it gets an extra motor at the back. We don’t have the combined figures yet, but the production version shouldn’t be too far from now.
