Audi expands the third-gen Audi Q5 (80A) lineup with the Q5 e-hybrid, available in regular SUV and Sportback bodystyles, with base prices (including VAT) of €63,400 and €65,900, respectively. Produced in San José Chiapa, Mexico, the new PHEV models will be available to order in Europe starting mid-June 2025. The initial launch is planned for the third quarter.
The Q5 e-hybrid comes in two power output options. If you buy the 220 kW option, you get S sports suspension and 3-zone climate control as standard. There’s also a 270 kW option, with standard equipment including LED headlights plus, LED rear lights pro, 19-inch ten-arm light-alloy aero wheels and red-painted brake calipers, MMI experience plus infotainment system, Audi sound system, and S line interior package with sports seats in a leather/artificial leather combo.
The hybrid powertrain is a combination of a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and an electric motor integrated into the housing of the 7-speed S tronic transmission (DCT). The system outputs are 220 kW (299 metric hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). A 25.9 kWh (net 20.7 kWh) battery pack is estimated to offer an EV range of between 95 and 113 km (59-70 mi). The official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time is 6.2 seconds, if you care about those sorts of things, while the top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
And of course, there’s a more powerful option with the same combination, with output figures of 270 kW (367 metric hp) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). The official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time here is 5.1 seconds. The battery pack is gonna be the same, but you may get slightly less EV range.
The driver can choose between the EV and Hybrid modes, and of course, the steering paddles can be used to adjust the regenerative braking performance.
