Confirmed for the Indian market
Yes, the Honda 0 α (alpha) looks familiar because it is a further evolved version of the 0 SUV concept that was showcased at the CES 2025. The production model might closely resemble the prototype that is being presented at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. Honda calls the 0 alpha a “gateway model” into the world of Honda 0 Series, which means this will be the first model to go on sale, followed by a sedan and a few more that are in the works.
The near-production prototype looks just as minimalistic as the concept, retaining most of the design elements. There are a couple of significant differences, such as larger windows and traditional ORVMs (vs cameras in the concept). On the front and rear fascias, the actual lights (headlights, turn signals, reverse lights) are concealed within those dark, glossy panels. It remains to be seen how that fat C-pillar affects driving experience since it sure is a massive blind spot. A small window or at least a wrap-around rear windscreen would’ve been nice.
You can see from the side profile how fat that last quarter is. But anyway, Honda didn’t share any specifications or details on this prototype yet, since the launch plan for this SUV is early 2027. However, according to some reliable info, the 0 alpha will be a front-wheel-drive crossover for most markets, but Japs might get AWD options. The batteries come from China.
