So, these are the AMG versions of the new S-Class Coupe and Cabriolet. The important visual upgrade is of course the Panamericana grille we saw in the GT models.

The front apron resembles a hovering jet wing and is painted in vehicle colour. It is flanked by two large air intakes, which are outlined in high-gloss black. The three-dimensional front splitter with chrome edge reduces uplift at the front axle.

The side skirts with three-dimensional inlays in high-sheen chrome give the Coupe and Cabriolet a lower-slung look. Hallmark features of the AMG S-Class models are the large forged light-alloy wheels, measuring 19 inches on the S 63 4Matic+ Coupe and Cabriolet and 20 inches on the S 65 Coupe and Cabriolet. Similar to their standard siblings, the AMG models too get the OLED tail lamps.

Interiors get AMG sports seats with memory function, Nappa leather with AMG badges, and three-spoke Performance steering wheel.

Other features include AMG Ride Control+ suspension with adaptive damping adjustment (S 63 4Matic+ Coupe and Cabriolet and the S 65 Cabriolet), AMG Active Ride Control suspension (S 65 Coupe), AMG speed-sensitive steering, optional carbon ceramic brakes, AMG Dynamic Select driving modes, Race Start function, AMG Performance exhaust system, and a host of options.

S 63 4Matic+ Coupe and Cabriolet
Powered by a 4.0-litre (3982 cc) V8, with an output of 450 kW (612 hp) at 5500-6000 rpm and 900 Nm of torque @ 2750-4500 rpm, paired to AMG Speedshift 9G-Tronic MCT. 0-100 km/h acceleration happens in 3.5 seconds.

S 65 Coupe and Cabriolet
Powered by a 6.0-litre (5980 cc) V12, with an output of 463 kW (630 hp) at 4800-5400 rpm and a massive 1000 Nm of torque @ 2300-4300 rpm, paired to AMG Speedshift 7G-Tronic TCT. 0-100 km/h acceleration happens in 4.1 seconds.

Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The LHD versions of the S 63 4Matic+ Coupe and Cabriolet come with fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive as standard. The S 65 models are rear-wheel drive.
