Celebrating 20 years of the production of the E-Class in India, Mercedes Benz India launched a limited edition E-Class tagged Edition E. The company has sold over 32,000 units of the E-Class ever since its production began in India back in 1995. The E 200 (Petrol) ‘Edition E’ is priced at Rs. 48.60 lakhs, the E 250 CDI ‘Edition E’ at Rs. 50.76 lakhs and the E 350 CDI ‘Edition E’ at Rs 60.61 lakhs (All prices are ex-showroom Pune).

The key features of Edition E include –
Safety – 8 Airbags and apreventive occupant protection system as standard, Adaptive brake lights, Intelligent Light System

• Sporty brake pedals

• Memory seats with 3 settings

• High resolution color media display (20.3 cm)

• New look fibre-topic tail lights
• Electronic Panoramic sunroof (with PRE-SAFE closing function)

The E 350 CDI Edition E comes with a parking package with 360-degree camera, A 610 watts and 14 speakers Harman Kardon surround sound system and Rear Seat Entertainment System.

Under the hood the Edition E offers the same engine options as the regular E-Class. The E 200 comes with 1991 CC petrol motor which produces 84 hp @ 5500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque @ 1200 – 4000 rpm, the E 250 CDI comes with 2143 CC Diesel motor producing 204 hp @ 4200 rpm and 500 Nm of torque @ 1600 – 1800 rpm, and the E 350 CDI has a 6 cylinder 2987 CC Diesel unit under the hood producing  265 hp @ 3800 rpm and 620 Nm of torque @ 1600 – 2400 rpm.
