The Volkswagen Ameo is not just another sub-4 meter sedan, but gets several segment 1st features. So without any further due, let’s dive in.

Engines on offer –
The Ameo was initially offered with a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol, but that engine has been replaced with a smaller 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine that develops 76 PS and 95 Nm of torque. The 5-speed manual transmission remains unchanged.

The diesel variant was launched in October 2016 and remains unchanged. The 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TDI engine produces 110 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The diesel can be had either with 5-Speed manual or a 7-Speed DSG automatic.

Variants –
The Ameo comes in 5 trims – Trendline, Comfortline, Comfortline Plus, Highline, and Highline Plus. Below are the variant wise feature list, each higher variant carries over the lower variant’s features + more or advanced features.

Before we begin, note that the 7-Speed DSG automatic is exclusive to the “Plus” trims.

The Volkswagen Ameo will come in 5 colors namely Blue Silk, Reflex Silver, Toffee Brown, Candy White and Carbon Steel.
