First Italdesign Zerouno delivered to Belgium

First-Italdesign-Zerouno-Delivered

VW Group owned design agency Italdesign’s new formed company Italdesign Automobili Speciali has delivered the first Zerouno bearing the chassis number #0001 to Steven Lismont, an entrepreneur and car collector from Belgium.

Steven Lismont also got to experience his new car’s performance and characteristics for the first time, with a test drive of about 100 km around Italdesign’s headquarters in Moncalieri. “Based on same experience I wasn’t expecting such a high-performance vehicle to be so easy and pleasant to drive” – said the owner upon completing the mixed-route drive. “It’s a car that provides amazing sensations during sporty driving, but it’s also suitable for everyday use. This combination of craftsmanship, sportiness and every day usability makes the Zerouno unique..”

The car was delivered to Steven by Italdesign’s CEO Jörg Astalosch, along with members of the Management Committee and the team that worked directly on the project. “We are proud to have Steven as our first customer and to start a legacy with him. His feedback during the development and production was extremely important. Based on his experience we improved the ZeroUno further. We are especially proud of the quality of its design, engineering and production, starting from the visuals, over the HMI design and functionality, to the interior material use and the vehicle performance.”

Italdesign said that the remaining four Zerounos have already been sold to collectors from different parts of the world. The roadster version is under evaluation.

Under the Zerouno’s carbon fibre body, there is a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 which also powers the Huracan and Audi R8, producing 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox with all-wheel drive configuration. It tops out at 330 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 Km/h in 3.2 seconds.
