BMW F 850 GS Adventure launched at Rs 15.40 lakh

BMW Motorrad has launched the F 850 GS Adventure in India, priced at Rs 15.40 lakh ex-showroom, Pan India. The motorcycle is being imported to India as a CBU.

The Adventure gets some styling differences compared to the standard F 850 GS, including a more comfortable seat, engine guard and engine protection bars. Feature list includes adjustable windscreen, multifunction display, LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, power socket, and a luggage rack. Clutch lever, foot brake pedal, gear shifter, and hand brake lever are all adjustable.

Rain and Road modes are standard and so is the ASC (Automatic Stability Control). Options list includes 6.5-inch TFT color display, Ride Modes Pro (Enduro and Enduro Pro modes), On-Board Computer Pro, aluminum storage cases, and HP Sports silencer. The aforementioned Ride Modes Pro advances ABS and ASC to ABS Pro and DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), respectively.

The F 850 GS Adventure’s front suspension offers 9.1-inches of travel, while the rear suspension can travel 8.5-inches. Braking duties are handled by 305 mm discs at front with dual-piston floating calipers, and a single 265 mm disc at the rear. ABS can be switched off.

Powering the F 850 GS Adventure is an 853 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, producing 66 kW (90 hp) at 8000 rpm and 86 Nm of torque at 6250 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

The wire spoke wheels measure 21-inch at front and 17-inch at the rear, shod with 90/90 and 150/70 tires, respectively.
