Maruti Suzuki has launched the S-Presso “mini SUV”, with prices starting at Rs 3.69 lakh, ex-showroom. Variant wise ex-showroom prices below –

Besides “SUV Inspired Bold Front Fascia”, exterior features of the S-Presso include blacked-out B-pillar, body-colored ORVMs, body-colored door handles, roof antenna, C-shaped taillamps, and full wheel covers. There are no alloy wheels on offer; the lower variants get 13-inch steel wheels while the VXi models get 14-inch ones.

Inside, the VXi models get body-colored accents on the dashboard. Other features include remote keyless entry, AC with heater, power steering, front power windows, and internally adjustable ORVMs. The VXi+ model gets 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and steering-mounted audio & voice controls. As for safety and assistance, the S-Presso gets driver airbag (front), ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder (driver + co-driver), and reverse parking sensors as standard across all variants. The VXi+ models also get front passenger airbag and seat belt Pre-tensioner and Force Limiter, which can be added as options on lower variants.

The S-Presso is powered by a BS6 compliant 998 cc 3-cylinder K10B engine, producing 50 kW (68 hp) at 5,500 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm, paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or an AMT.

As we can see in the list above, the AMT is offered only in the VXi models; these models also get Gear Position Indicator. The transmission sends power to the front wheels.

In case you’re wondering about the dimensions, the S-Presso measures 3,565 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width and 1,564 mm in height (with 14-inch wheels). Wheelbase measures 2,380 mm. The kerb weight ranges between 726 kg (Standard) to 767 kg (VXi+ AGS).

Buyers have 6 colors to choose from – Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey, and Metallic Silky Silver.
