India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) sold a total of 153,435 units in October 2019, registering a growth of 4.5 percent compared to 146,766 units in the same period last year. The total October sales include 141,550 units in the domestic market, 2,727 units of domestic OEM sales and 9,158 units of exports.
As we can see from the chart above, the Ciaz sales continue to decline. The Compact segment which includes the Wagon R, Celerio, Swift and Baleno, registered a growth of 15.9 percent in the festive season. The Mini segment which includes the September 2019-launched S-Presso, registered a decline of 13.1 percent. The UV segment saw a growth too.
