Back in 2018, Skoda had announced the ‘INDIA 2.0’ project, where the Czech brand assumed the responsibility of developing new models on behalf of VW Group. A month later, VW had announced an investment of €1 billion as well for the aforementioned project.

Things seem to be going according to the plan, as Skoda will showcase the Vision IN, a 4.26 metre-long SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2020 near Delhi in February. It’ll be based on the MQB A0 IN platform, a derivative of the MQB A0. The design sketches hint at an aggressive and contemporary styling with slim headlamps, sharply contoured bonnet, large grille, large air intakes, and a beefier front skid plate that is apparently made of aluminum.

The rear-end styling is equally impressive with an integrated aluminium diffuser/skid plate. The 3D taillamps, Skoda lettering, and a horizontal light strip at the bottom, all remind us of the recent Skoda models.

The interior design too borrows the styling cues from the Scala or the Vision RS. The designers have added Orange accents for contrast and we can also notice chrome air vent surrounds. The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel features buttons and knurl wheels, which are also part of the latest Skoda design.
