Accompanying the Gemera at the “2020 Koenigsegg Motor Show” in Geneva was the Jesko Absolut and also a track-focused version of the 1,280 bhp Jesko that debuted in March 2019. Just like the founder Christian, the Jesko Absolut has big dreams; it aims to become the fastest series-production road car ever.

The Jesko Absolut with its shockingly low drag coefficient of 0.278 Cd, combined with its high-speed-stability optimized aero features, daily drive friendly characteristics and luggage space, make the Jesko Absolut a land-based rocket-ship determined to reach unheard-of speeds at a record-setting pace. — Christian von Koenigsegg

As Christian says, every surface element of the Jesko Absolut’s bodywork has been optimized to reduce drag or surrounding turbulence around the car while increasing its high-speed stability. As we can see, two fins inspired by the F-15 fighter jets replace the massive rear spoiler. The wing has been let go to reduce downforce and drag, dropping the downforce from 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs) to 150 kg (331 lbs).

The elongated rear is 85 mm longer than the track-focused Jesko. Also, notice the closed-off rear wheels. More info here.

The 5.0L twin-turbo V8 gets a re-designed fuel injection system, and other improvements that raise the rev limit to 8,500 rpm. It puts out 955 kW (1,280 bhp) and a max torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft) at 5,100 rpm. With E85, the output is 1,193 kW or 1,600 bhp. More info on the tech specs here.

The Jesko Absolut also features a tuned suspension setup that is more tailored to extreme high speeds and less downforce.
