Datsun redi-GO facelift launched in India

Datsun has launched the redi-GO facelift in India, with prices starting at Rs 2.83 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Variant wise ex-showroom prices below –

As for the styling, the front fascia has been given a bold makeover with a large octagonal grille, flanked by large L-shaped DRL and fog lamp housings. The headlights have been made slimmer. On the side, the car gets a ‘Datsun’ badge on the front fenders, while the character line that runs over the rear wheel arch has been retained from the outgoing model.

The rear-end has a new taillight signature. Rounding off the exterior looks are the new ‘Pentablade’ wheel covers for the 14-inch wheels. The redi-Go retains the 187 mm ground clearance.

There are 6 exterior colors to choose from: Vivid Blue, Ruby Red, Sandstone Brown, Bronze Grey, Crystal Silver and Opal White.

The fresh interiors feature a dual-tone scheme for the range-topping ‘T’ trims. Depending on the trim, features include manual AC, front power windows, digital tachometer, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, and 2 speakers at the front.

Safety features include a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, driver & passenger seat belt reminder, and rear parking sensors as standard across all variants. A passenger airbag is optional on the ‘T’ trim and so is a reversing camera. Download the redi-GO facelift brochure here.

Powertrains
Powering the redi-Go is a choice of 0.8L or 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engines. The 799 cc 3-cylinder engine produces 40 kW (54 hp) at 5600 rpm and 72 Nm (53 lb-ft) of torque at 4250 rpm, and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 999 cc 3-cylinder engine offers 50 kW (68 hp) at 5550 rpm and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) of torque at 4250 rpm, and is paired either with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
