Audi e-tron is the top-selling electric SUV in Europe

In the first half of 2020, Audi delivered 17,641 e-tron SUVs worldwide, registering a growth of 86.8% as compared to the previous year. The electric SUV is topping the sales chart in Europe, especially in the Scandinavian markets.

In Norway, the e-tron was the top-selling car model in the first half of the year and makes up 92% of the Audi models delivered in the country. It also makes up a significant portion of deliveries in Iceland (93%), Sweden (12%), and Israel (14%). In the United States, the e-tron recorded a 50% increase in sales compared to the previous year.

The e-tron SUV made its global debut in September 2018 offering a range of up to 411 km (255.4 mi) as per WLTP cycle. It was joined by the Sportback in November 2019. Later in the same month, both variants received an additional 25 km (15.5 mi) range.

For those who want more, the ‘S’ variants of both versions are lined up with more power. They’ll have three motors, two of which are at the rear axle. Together they produce 370 kW (503 hp) and up to 973 Nm (717.6 lb-ft) of torque in boost mode. A 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is claimed to happen in 4.5 seconds.

Audi also has e-tron GTQ4 e-tron and the Q4 Sportback e-tron models coming up.
