Renault India sold 6,422 cars last month, registering a growth of over 75% compared to 3,660 cars sold during the same period in 2019. The company claims that this was the highest growth among all carmakers, in terms of YoY sales growth in July 2020.
Currently, the Renault India portfolio offers only 3 cars: Duster, Kwid and Triber. The Triber MPV, launched in August 2019, appears to be getting a good response in the market. The Kwid facelift was launched in October 2019 and another trim was added last month. As for the Duster, it’s still the first generation model that is on sale with a facelift, while the Captur was pulled off the market in June 2020 as no one was interested in it.
Renault is expected to unveil a Brezza-rivaling sub-4 metre SUV later this year. Its partner Nissan revealed the Magnite concept last month.
