Along with the 5008 SUV, Peugeot has updated the 3008 compact crossover too in terms of the styling, technology and features. The styling updates are very similar to what 5008 has received, naturally. However, since the 3008 is a compact offering, it looks more sportier than the 5008, especially in the GT trim with the Black Pack option.

Inside, the 3008 gets the same i-Cockpit system comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch central infotainment display, and the same materials too, including red Nappa leather upholstery and Alcantara lining. The hybrid variants feature a specific graphics on the i-Cockpit.

Depending on the trim, the feature list includes multi-point massage seats, a dual-pane sunroof, Advanced Grip Control with four modes (Normal, Snow, Mud, Sand), Adaptive Cruise Control, and Active Blind Spot Monitoring System.

There are two choices for the hybrid: Hybrid4 300 e-EAT8 (AWD) with 59 km (36 mi) of EV range and Hybrid 225 e-EAT8 (FWD) with 56 km (34 mi) of EV range. The AWD obviously has two electric motors; one at the front axle coupled to the 8-speed gearbox and another on the rear axle. The lithium-ion battery pack is of a 13.2 kWh capacity, and can be recharged with a 3.7 kW single-phase charger as standard or with the optional 7.4 kW single-phase charger; the latter is claimed to take 1 hour 45 minutes to fully charge the battery. More details can be found here.

The regular petrol and diesel powertrains are the same as in the 5008. These include a 130 hp 1.2-litre 3-cylinder PureTech petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission; a 180 hp 1.6-litre 4-cylinder PureTech petrol engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission; and a 130 hp 1.5-litre 4-cylinder BlueHDi diesel engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. However, Peugeot is yet to confirm the availability of the 2.0L diesel engine for the new 3008.
