I know what you’re thinking. “Another Chiron limited edition?!” Yes, but, Bugatti really wanted to honor its “Daredevils”, the former racing drivers who were former skilled pilots. The Chiron Sport “Les Légendes du Ciel” (Legends of Heaven) is limited to 20 units.

The exterior of the car is finished in ‘Gris Serpent’ matt-grey paintwork, a modern interpretation of the exterior color of the aircrafts from the 1920s. A gloss white center stripe adds a high contrast, while there are “Le Bleu-Blanc-Rouge” tricolour touches on the front area of the side skirts. Also, the horseshoe grille has gloss black slats made of laser-cut aluminum; the pattern reminiscent of leather seats on the past planes.

The front wings/fenders are adorned with the “Les Légendes du Ciel” logo, which is a neat little touch. At the rear, the W16 engine cover is of exposed carbon fibre, contrasted by white lettering. The black coated exhaust trim covers are made of 3D printed, high-temperature-resistant Inconel.

In the cockpit, the door panels feature a hand-sketched racing scene between the Nieuport 17 aircraft and a Bugatti Type 13, while the centre console features aluminum plaques with “Les Légendes du Ciel” letters and logo. The logo can be found on the headrests as well. The light brown leather upholstery is reminiscent of natural leather in those past aircrafts.

As the name suggests, the Les Légendes du Ciel gets the same numbers as the Chiron Sport, which are 1,103 kW (1,500 metric hp) and 1,600 Nm (1,180 lb-ft) of torque. Its top speed is electronically limited to 420 km/h (261 mph).

As mentioned, the Chiron Sport Les Légendes du Ciel is limited to 20 units, with each carrying a price tag of €2.88 million net.
