Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) sold 11,319 vehicles in the domestic market in January 2021, registering a growth of 114% compared to 5,299 vehicles sold during the same month last year. HCIL exported 1,233 vehicles last month as against 182 vehicles in January 2020.
HCIL sales continue to be robust and first month sales in 2021 have been very positive. The strong demand for our popular sedans Amaze and City in fact exceeded the supply last month and we seem to be heading towards sustainable market recovery except for a few challenges. We have also started City exports recently to new left-hand drive markets which gave a fillip to our export volumes.
