Tata ready to PUNCH the competition in its face with a new SUV

Ad agency team: how much cringe and cliché do we want in the teaser video? Ad film director: yes!

That’s right! Tata is all set to roll out a new crossover called ‘Punch’ that is all set to punch the competition in its face, or at least that’s what seems to be the plan. If the Punch looks familiar, it is most likely due to the fact that you might have attended the 2020 Auto Expo near Delhi. In simple terms, the Punch is the production version of the HBX concept.

The HBX is the second vehicle to be built on the company’s ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture, and sports the Impact 2.0 design language. With an aggressive front fascia and plastic cladding all around, the Punch attempts to look rugged and tough, despite being under 4 metres in length. The concept even had a compass inside, but we don’t know yet if the Punch has got one too. Let’s wait for a full reveal.

With the perfect combination of stunning design, technology and driving dynamics, the Punch will come equipped with superlative features and an architecture that has proven its versatility in all forms. – Shailesh Chandra, President, PVBU, Tata Motors
