The China-exclusive Volkswagen ID.6 is getting a more luxurious variant in the form of Audi Q5 e-tron which also appears to be exclusive to the People’s Republic. For the international markets, Audi is reportedly baking a Q6 e-tron which will be built around the PPE platform co-developed with Porsche, as opposed to MEB (modular electric-drive toolkit)-based ID.6 and Q5 e-tron.

Visually, the Q5 e-tron features e-tron SUV-typical front and rear fascias and new set of wheels. Notice the traditional pull-type handles as opposed to fancy flaps in the ID.6. Also, notice the e-tron branding on the thick D-pillars. As the photos suggest, the Q5 e-tron will offer mono and dual-tone paint options.

Inside, again, there’s the e-tron SUV-typical dashboard with the latest steering wheel and displays. The sporty “50” variant appears to get sporty seats with red contrast stitching.

As for the juicy bits, the Q5 e-tron will most likely offer the same options as the ID.6, including 132 kW (179 metric hp), 150 kW (204 metric hp) and 225 kW (306 metric hp), with 58 kWh and 77 kWh battery pack options.
