Bentley sold a total of 14,659 cars globally in 2021, registering a growth of 31% compared with 11,206 cars sold during 2020. Unsurprisingly, the sales were led by the Bentayga with 40% share, followed by the Continental GT with 33% share (split between 60% coupe and 40% convertible) and the Flying Spur with the remaining 27% share. Bentley expects the Flying Spur Hybrid to further contribute to the sales figures in 2022.

As for the regional performance last year, the Americas consumed 4,212 cars—a growth of 39%, followed by China with 4,033 cars—a growth of 40%, Europe with 2,520 cars—a growth of 15%, and the Asia Pacific with 1,651 cars—a growth of 37%. Bentley’s home market registered a growth of 14% last year, and the Middle Eastern markets consumed only 915 cars but registered a growth of 24%.

And, Bentley ended the year with 240 retailers in 67 countries.

“The reaction to the introduction of the Bentayga Hybrid and anticipation for Flying Spur Hybrid demonstrates the path the luxury sector is heading, and we are positioned firmly at the forefront. These numbers are validation that we not only lead the sector in sales and market share but also investment in electric technologies and commitment to being the first fully electrified and zero-carbon luxury car company in the world,” commented Adrian Hallmark, Chairman & CEO of Bentley Motors.
