Representational Purpose

After the Kushaq Monte Carlo last month, Skoda has added the Kushaq Style NSR variant to the Kushaq lineup, available with 1.0L TSI MT powertrain, priced at INR 15,09,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. This variant is INR 20,000 cheaper than the regular Kushaq Style.

So, what’s this strange-sounding Kushaq Style NSR? Something to do with Jr. NTR’s style? Of course, not. The ‘NSR’ is short for “no sunroof”. However, the NSR is not just about excluding the sunroof; you’re not gonna get rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, and the 8.0-inch Skoda Virtual Cockpit as well. But don’t worry, you do get an 8.0-inch central touchscreen and the rest of the goodies the Style variant packs. Download the updated brochure here.

The Kushaq Style NSR variant, according to reports, is the result of the 2020-present global chip shortage. But let’s see how well this variant sells, coz most buyers in India see the sunroof as one of the must-have premium features in any car. With only a 20k difference, I assume 95 out of 100 will go with the regular Style variant.
