Toyota C-HR special edition models revealed for Japan

Toyota is launching two special edition C-HR models in Japan on August 29th. Both have got quite a mouthful of a name: G Mode-Nero Safety Plus Ⅲ, priced at JPY 3,055,000 (including tax), and GT Mode-Nero Safety Plus Ⅲ, priced at JPY 2,725,000 (including tax). As the name suggests, both are based on the mid-spec G and GT trims.

As you can also probably guess from the names, the special editions throw in a mix of visual enhancements and safety features. These would include a special Inazuma black exterior paint; 18-inch aluminum wheels painted in matt black; dark surrounds around the LED headlights; exclusive seat upholstery with brown accents and beige contrast stitching, and safety systems such as panoramic view monitor and parking support brake.

The G is available with a 1.8L petrol-electric hybrid FWD powertrain, while the GT offers options of 1.2L turbo petrol FWD and 1.2L turbo petrol AWD powertrains. All three are coupled with a CVT.
