Nope, not Low Maintenance
The “regular” Aston Martin Valkyrie is already an extreme vehicle that makes you wonder how it is even street-legal. I’ve not driven it, obviously, but I’ve watched people drive it in the real world, and it seems extremely noisy inside. I don’t think you can drive it without some kind of ear protection for a long distance, which again proves that it is best suited for track days. The bar of extremes has already been pushed to the max with the Valkyrie AMR Pro, but what if you keep pushing more? Well, you’ll get the Valkyrie LM.
Aston Martin is returning to the Le Mans Hypercar class after 14 years. The Valkyrie LM we’re seeing here is a version of the Valkyrie AMR-LMH that is all set for the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend. The AMR-LMH made its debut at the 2025 Qatar 1812 km earlier this year. Aston Martin is building only 10 of these (yes, just 10), and I’m fairly certain these will be sold exclusively to those who own both the coupe and the spider.
The Valkyrie LM is powered by a variant of the Cosworth-built 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, coupled with the Xtrac 7-speed sequential manual gearbox with paddle shifters. In compliance with the regulations, the output is capped at 520 kW (707 metric hp/697 bhp). Without the driver and fuel, the car weighs around 1,030 kg (2,271 lbs). The racing suspension configuration features double wishbones front and rear, with pushrod actuated torsion bar springs with adjustable side and central dampers. The Valkyrie LM will run on bespoke performance tyres from F1 tyre supplier Pirelli.
The cockpit features a custom carbon-fibre race seat with shoulder support and headrest padding surround. The seat will be customized specifically to the owner’s body. Which means, no flipping around! 😉 A six-point FIA 8853 safety harness, fire suppression system, and steering wheel with an integrated driver display and shift lights are some of the other key highlights.
The Valkyrie LM owners will also be signed-up to an immersive driver development programme.
