Just when you thought that car flipping is limited to limited edition exotics, this individual will make you think again, probably multiple times. Thanks to clever marketing and PR exercises, MG Motors managed to establish its brand name in India.

Their first product Hector, based on Baojun 530, was launched in June 2019 as “India’s first internet car“. The company even announced that they’ve received over 21,000 bookings and sold out for the year, and are temporarily closing the bookings as well. Interested buyers are apparently being told by the sales executives at the dealerships that if someone cancels their booking, the car can be re-allocated to the new buyer.

Which probably gave this individual an idea to flip his MG Hector online. The advertisement is no longer available but according to reports, the Hector was driven for only 100 km. Except for the base variant, the Hector offers a 10.4-inch portrait-style HD touchscreen, while the top-end Sharp trim gets a 7.0-inch color MID.

The reports also suggest that the seller was asking Rs 23 lakh which is much higher than what MG is asking for the top-end model. I wonder if this person managed to sell it.
