September 2020 sales: Maruti Suzuki registers 33% growth

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) posted total sales (domestic + exports) of 160,442 units in September 2020, registering a growth of 30.8% compared to 122,640 units sold in September 2019. The domestic sales of 150,040 units saw a growth of 33.4% last month compared to 112,500 units sold in September 2019.

MSIL sold 2,568 units to another OEM. As the above chart suggests, the “compact” segment which includes WagonR, Swift and Baleno, saw the highest growth of just over 47% in September 2020 compared to September 2019 sales. The Ciaz sales continue to decline, while the UV segment which includes Brezza and Ertiga, saw a growth of 10% last month.
