BMW has launched the X7 Dark Shadow Edition in India, priced at INR 2,02,00,000, ex-showroom, Pan India. The model is being imported to India as a completely built-up unit (CBU). The X7 Dark Shadow Edition was globally revealed in July 2020 and is limited to 500 units worldwide.

As the name suggests, it features a dark theme throughout. The exterior is finished in a special paint called Frozen Arctic Grey metallic, complemented by tastefully applied black chrome on the kidney grille, bumpers, window frame and on the tailpipe covers as well. Also included are the aerodynamically optimized bodywork elements of the M sports package. Rounding off the dark looks are 22-inch M light-alloy wheels in V-spoke design with a Jet Black matt finish.

The dark theme has been carried over into the cabin as well with Merino full leather upholstery in two-tone Night Blue/Black with contrasting seams. The upper part of the dashboard and door armrests are covered with Nappa leather in Night Blue, while Black Merino leather is used on the lower section of the dashboard and on the front backrests. The roof liner is finished in Night Blue with Alcantara.

Other features include Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof, five-zone air conditioning, soft-close function for doors, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, adaptive 2-axle air suspension, Parking Assistant Plus, and Reversing Assistant.

The X7 Dark Shadow Edition is available in M50d variant in India, powered by a 3.0-litre (2,993 cc) straight-six quad turbo diesel engine with 294 kW (400 metric hp) and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that drives all four wheels. Rounding off the package is an M Sport exhaust system.
