Yamaha-MT-15-Version-2.0

Yamaha India has launched the MT-15 Version 2.0, with prices starting at INR 159,900, ex-showroom, Delhi. The naked motorcycle is available in four colors: Ice Fluo-Vermillion, Cyan Storm, Racing Blue and Metallic Black, and except for the Ice Fluo, the rest all cost INR 1,000 more.

So, besides new colors, what’s new for V2.0? Well, you now get an upside-down telescopic front fork and Bluetooth connectivity via Yamaha Y-Connect smartphone app. The negative LCD instrument cluster displays, call, SMS, email and phone battery level notifications. On the app, you get features such as Maintenance Recommendations, Fuel Consumption Tracker, Last Parking Location, and Malfunction Notification.

The rest of the features have been carried over from the outgoing model, such as Bi Functional LED headlight, front & rear disc brakes, single-channel ABS, and Assist & Slipper clutch.

It appears that Yamaha has detuned the 155 cc engine’s output figures this time for fuel economy reasons (kitna deti hai); it now offers 13.5 kW (18.3 metric hp) at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm (10.4 lb-ft) of torque at 7,500 rpm, as opposed to 14.2 kW (19.3 metric hp) and 14.7 Nm (10.8 lb-ft) in the outgoing model.
