October 2020 sales: Maruti Suzuki registers 19% growth

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) sold a total of 182,448 vehicles (domestic + exports) in October 2020, registering a growth of nearly 19% compared to 153,435 vehicles sold during the same period last year. The domestic sales include 6,037 units sold to Toyota.

The ‘Mini’ segment with Alto and S-Presso, saw a marginal decline of 0.3%, while the ‘Compact’ segment with WagonR, Baleno and Swift, saw a growth of over 26%. The ‘UV’ segment with Brezza and Ertiga saw a growth of nearly 10% last month. As for the ‘Mid-Size’ segment, people continue to lose interest in the Ciaz.
