2023 Ducati Scrambler debuts with improvements

Ducati has revealed the 2023 Scrambler lineup, scheduled to arrive at European dealerships in March 2023. The 2023 Scrambler will be available in three flavors: Icon, Full Throttle and Nightshift, priced at £9,995, £10,995 and £10,995, respectively, in the UK. All prices include 20% VAT.

While the Ducati Scrambler Icon offers a choice of 3 colors (’62 Yellow, Thrilling Black and Ducati Red), the Scrambler Full Throttle comes only in this red & black dual-tone theme (Rosso GP19/Dark Stealth).

As for the Nightshift, well, it comes in this Nebula Blue paint, a straight handlebar, café racer mirrors, and black spoked wheels for additional retro drama. But regardless of the flavor you choose, key highlights include a full LED headlight with an X-shaped guard; LED turn signals; a 4.3-inch color TFT instrument display; new swingarm with the monoshock in the centre as opposed to the left side in the outgoing model; new lightweight chassis, and an updated engine that is 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs) lighter, contributing to an overall weight reduction of 4 kg (8.8 lbs) compared with the outgoing model.

Ducati Traction Control, Cornering ABS, Road and Wet riding modes, and Quick Shift up/down, are some of the other standard equipment. The 803 cc L-Twin engine pumps out 53.6 kW (73 metric hp) at 8,250 rpm and 65.2 Nm (48 lb-ft) of torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Suspension duties are handled by a 41 mm Kayaba upside-down fork at the front and a Kayaba monoshock at the rear with pre-load adjustability. Braking duties are handled by a 330 mm disc at the front and a 245 mm disc at the rear.
