Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) sold a total of 133,296 units in December 2019, registering a growth of 3.9 percent compared with the 128,338 units sold in December 2018. The aforementioned total sales include 124,375 units in the domestic market, 1,360 units of domestic OEM sales and 7,561 units of exports.
The domestic sales in December 2019 registered a 3.5 percent growth compared with the same period in 2018. The Mini segment which includes Alto and S-Presso seems to be declining while the Compact segment which includes Swift and Baleno, registered a growth of nearly 28 percent in December 2019. The UV segment too saw a growth of 17.7 percent led by the Vitara Brezza. The Ciaz sales continue to decline.
