Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) posted a total sales of 108,064 units (domestic + exports) in July 2020, registering a decline of 1.1% compared to July 2019 sales. In the domestic market, however, the company sold a total of 101,307 units (includes 1,307 units for another OEM), registering a growth of 1.3% compared to the same period last year. The exports saw a decline of 27%.
As we can see, the “Mini” segment still remains the bread & butter earner for the company with just over 49% growth compared to July 2019. It currently includes Alto and S-Presso. The UV segment with 26.3% growth is not bad either, all thanks to the Brezza. The Ciaz sales continue to decline.
